Hotel Kolonna is ideally situated in the center of Old Town. Location provides easy access to main places of interest. Dome Cathedral, St. Peter`s Church, Museum of occupation, Opera theater, many other museums, shops, cafes and restaurants of old Riga are all in the walking distance from the hotel. Airport bus stop is about 200 meters away. Therefore, it`s just about 30-40 minutes by public transport to Riga airport. Buses run from early morning till about midnight.

The hotel is in a great location downtown in Riga, staff is friendly, decor clean and functional. NOTE the noise level: In the evening you of course with the windows open music and voices from the Duomo Square and the surrounding bars, however everything in absolutely bearable meassure, but is really subjective. Small we have to take some points for the breakfast without natural light in the otherwise nice vaulted cellar and the upstairs to kippenden windows. CONCLUSION: The hotel is my recommendation! Hotel Kolonna is in my opinion ideally located hotel in Riga. worth noting that the hotel is really in the middle of the old city and the Duomo square and right in front of the hotel there were a few restaurants where loudly music till midnight, even then it was not really quiet. Right outside the door ... If there is any construction going on 1 year construction noise. Working on Sunday's too. Very many live bands and bars with "noisy" tourists. If you like it?! Location perfect for short walk to all the attractions. Riga is known for its beautiful women. The have western European men have already recognized and travel in groups. Not only the room decor, even the breakfast buffet was rather basic, but good enough. The furniture was almost new. At least there was RTL as TV channel. Rooms at the rear (best from 4. Floor) are quiet, if the live program on the Cathedral is finished. Read more
