50 to sit on a good beach is not much The food was ok it needed a bit more variety but the hotel pulled out all the stops for New Year it was a feast for the eyes the work they put in to it was truly amazing The all inclusive is not what you would expect the beer is not worth the water it took to make it The soft drinks are warm and as others have said they are served in an egg cup There was one member of staff that you would of thought had bought the food himself when he was serving you felt like oliver (can I have more sir) We have been to Egypt 7 times now and this hotel is the worst we have come across but they are trying to up the service on are last day they had put in a few changes that would inprove the hotel Last note dont go to this hotel and think that because it is all inclusive that you will not need any more money (you will) Rodders - in January 10

The Rep, well we tuned up for the welcome meeting, he sat talking to another guest, so we waited only for him to get up and start walking out the hotel?? We physically had to run after him to talk to him, wasn't even gonna speak to us?? Oh I could go on forever, but I guess you'd get bored soon, worst holiday we've ever had by far, by far, and it wasn't cheap, cost us £1000, which speaking to others on our return is about the norm.

first i will tell you the bad points ,the food was same every day veg was ok no probs there but most ot the so called meat was dry chicken one night they had what looked like tinned hot dog sasauges on sticks they tasted discusting noone was eating them the soup was ok but not always hot enough ,the drinks were served in tiny plastic glasses like shots once dvd the friendly barman got to know you he gave us a bigger one the drinks finished at 10 00 on the dot evan a few minutes earlier on some nights ,you had to get a sun bed by 6 30 at the latest or you didnt get one ,this was our 4 trip to sharm and worst hotel ever been to marsa alam last 2 years on cheaper hols and much better hotels . - in October 09

Rooms: The rooms are clean enough, it just needs modernising and the showers are suprisingly good, the cleaners are in everyday cleaning your room and if you leave a towel on your bed they make a swan or a flower which is always good. - in December 09

The swimming pools are very clean (cold), the rooms are cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels, the resturant has a good selection of food, i would suspect a lot of people become ill not because of the food but the sheer amount they consume and drink because its all inclusive ! - in September 09

we have just returned from a week at the la perla,i must admit after we read some of the reveiws ,we tried to change hotels,but we were too late so was dreading it somewhat,but for the price we paid ,550 ai total for us both,i think we had a bargain,ok the food was not what we would expect in uk but hey we are in egypt,saying that it was edible and we always found something ,the pasta and fish were nice,anyways if your looking for food like mama used to make ,go to blackpool or something,the rooms were basic but clean ,and they cleaned ,and got new sheets and towels every day,and the cleaners would make a swan or something out of your towels and leave then on our bed,very clever lol,pools were cleaned every evening ,so i dont know where some reveiws got dirty pools from,altho they are very cold,they have a free shuttle to the private beech every 2 hours ,ok they are building on the road down to the beech ,but once there its great,the staff are very freindly,always a handshake, even the manager ,they love the brits ,but hate the russians,speaking of russians there will be lots ,loud and mannerless most of them ,but give them as good as they give you ,they soon back down,they have an animation team that try to get you involved in something in the days ,and nights a show or disco. - in December 09

the "pool bar" is a shed, the beach is a building site, the mini bar was an empty fridge and the free shuttle bus to naama bay doesnt exist! - in October 09
A free shuttle bus runs from the hotel to the beach 4-5 times daily and there are a couple of lads there on the beach (ODDJOB & SAUDI) who will make sure you always have a sunbed and will tend to all your needs for the duration of your holiday - once again they are very grateful for a small tip and although you don't have to give them one their gratitude is plain and obvious if you do. - in October 09

The small pool was only used for volleyball, which is a good thing as it was strong and did leave a bit of a sting after a few games of volleyball in there but the other pool was fine. - in March 10
00 am every morning to put a towel on a lounger or missed out if you were at pool after 9 am didn't get a chair so you would either have to stand or sit on the filthy floor, the steps were broken in one pool so after a guest had an accident on them they stuck a label on saying do not use but still staff encouraged guests to carry on using the pool by jumping in and climbing out which was no good for my pensioner mother, in the other pool steps were also broken but guests opted to use other steps into the pool which was fine.

One young lad cut his foot in the pool on an unsecured broken tile and needed 6 stitches, but in order for him to go to the doctor, the hotel charged the boys mum a ludicrous amount to phone her insurance company (Not a very clever thing to do in my opinion, and i hope the family take legal action against the manager for her continued ignorance and lack of intelligence regarding health and safety). - in July 10
