The hotel in general
the hotel lauberhorn is a casual hotel, simple but contemporary with a strong headed personality and refreshing hospitality in a particularly relaxed atmosphere. we are a downright niche product which can not and don’t want to please everybody. come as a friend, searching pleasure, indulgence relaxation and joy of life! spending your holidays in our hotel is a question of lifestyle, not one of the age. tank up energy and well-being, leave your social and professional status at home, be yourself and enjoy our trying to be a little different.
Hotel location
the location of the hotel is incredibly spectacular as well as quiet. an oasis 600m outside downtown, in front of the eiger northwall. by car you pass the village as well as the church and you find us after 500m on the left hand side, direction to oberer gletscher.
Service at the hotel
our concept is a bit different because we do many things better, some things different, a couple of things less consequent and some not at all. there are people behind, not money.
Gastronomy in the hotel
as a bed&breakfast, we offer you snacks like soup, salad, pizza and pasta. Once a week we organise during summer a bbq in our garden as well as a fondue diner in winter. people interested in half-board may book it in the hotel eiger at the rate of chf 27.— per person.
Sports, entertainment and pool in the hotel
personal service is very important to us. therefore we love to give you any advices and provide you with informations about your activities and possibilities in and around grindelwald. beni is a tandem paragliding pilot and ski instructor. both, conny and beni, are passionate mountain bikers, skiers and mountaineers and would be happy to share many secret places with you.

The lauberhorn is a simple BB-hotel with very friendly and competent employees and owners. The rooms are simple but very tastefully equipped and nearly all of them offer a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains (North face of the Eiger) the day starts with a delicious breakfast and then also with a smaller, but delicious snacks exit. We felt really good and the next stay booked. Thank you for the hospitality lauberhorn-team ☺ Read more

For a one/two-star hotel, you can't expect kettles etc in rooms and the shower was sizeable and fantastic after a long day out and about - I don't see a problem that it's in the wall? This hotel promotes itself as accommodation that does things a little differently than the norm - particularly being a mountain bike enthusiast hotel in hiking central Grindelwald - which is not for everyone but they're very upfront with what to expect.
