The "Le Meurice was a small hotel with 23 rooms, spread out - if I remembered it right - 6 floors. It had an interesting cage-like lift, as perhaps familiar from old movies:) The tourist structure, I could not say anything because we didn't notice practically anything from the other tourists. Due to the small lift, the narrow halls and steps at the entrance of the hotel was certainly not suitable for wheelchair users.

For a weekend in Nice this is a great 3 star hotel. The location is optimal. A block (2 minute walk) to the famous beach promenade, just around the corner (1min walk) the shopping street, tons of cafes ( here you can have breakfast) and restaurants. The beautiful old town it was about 5 minutes walk away. You can have breakfast at the hotel for 7.50 euros and its bar then two jams, cheese, yogurt, croissants, baguette, café and orange juice. Apparently, the cleaning maid was also suffering from hair loss, as in the bathroom black hair was found after almost every room cleaning in the sink or bathtub - and we are blond ;-) Unfortunately, the safe in our room during our entire stay was broken and not usable.

The outrageously expensive beach chairs on the beach were slightly cheaper for guests at Le Meurice, according to a sign standing at the front information panel (then - if I remember correctly - "only" still 14, per day per beach chair; umbrella cost again extra).
