The hotel Leopold is located about 7 Gehminungen from Centraal antwerpians train station away. The hotel makes from the outside a little inviting impression, the lobby and the bar are very modern and clean.
the rooms are rather tired and could do with a renovation.

They then proceeded recommending a "nice hotel outside of city center", when i said no, the "outside of city center" doesnt work for us, they recommended another two hotels with very poor ratings (luckily i had my computer with me and could check right away on Tripadvisor).

Just around the corner from the hotel in Anneessenstraat 35, is a good Italian restaurant called Isola Sarda with average prices for Antwerp, the food is good and the owner makes you feel welcome.

The staff at the Leopold were the most helpful people I have ever met, going way beyond the call of duty to help us sort out the problems we had with the first hotel for more than an hour, then giving us a great rate on an executive suite.

In a hotel I expect for 99 euro’s : A good airco (its to hot in the room/hallway) Not hear any people using the toilet/bathroom A spotless bathroom (no stuff from other people, yek) No dust (it is al over the place) No outside noise at the 8th floor.
