The Libertel Canal Saint Martin is located right by a tube station and is a good base for a wider exploration of the city of Paris. It was easy. Our double room was bigger than expected, the bathroom was fine and clean. Only my mattress was a bit worn, but for two nights you survived the. For the price ( in advance - rates according to the bulletin very "high end") that was totally ok. We had a room in Hofrichtung, which was very quiet and pleasant. Small smart hotel. Ideal for a Städttripp and for people who are looking for a clean well kept property. Gastronomy didn't use it. Breakfast costs 8 euros. extra per person and day. Lots of bakeries in the proximity. Read more

I didn't like a lot of things such as : the room and the bathroom were ridiculously small, no mini bar in the room ( we would have wanted to have a little fridge to keep some drinks there ), no air- conditioning , no hair-drier, very-very thin walls, not even a small closet to keep some things there, no safety box in the room - to have one you should pay 4 Euros /day - in February 10
The walls are thin (as to be expected of most small hotels in paris) so you can hear from time to time the noise from another room.
