Located in the sunny valley of Bressanone/Brixen in the Isarco valley, Loewenhof stands out for its renowned hospitality and the variety of its offers. Due to the excellent location of Loewenhof in Varna, you can choose from a number of leisure activities both in summer and in winter, such as trips to the mountains or relaxing walks in the hills around Novacella and in the Isarco valley.

Hotel location
The hotel is quietly situated yet easy to reach by public transport (bus, train) as well as by private car (on the Brenner motorway, Bressanone, Val Pusteria exit). It is surrounded by a mild, comfortable climate. Loewenhof can be found in the idyllic village of Varna, just above the Bressanone basin. It is a great starting point to explore the legendary Dolomites mountain range (a World Heritage site) and the famous Augustinian monastery of Novacella.

Service at the hotel
Our 4**** hotel at the foot of the Dolomites combines an eclectic range of facilities to great effect: it is both a hotel, residence and campsite, with various attractions such as an indoor and outdoor wellness area which includes sauna, indoor and outdoor pools, sun beds, relaxation zones, steam bath, whirl pool and lounge.
There is a special kiosk for the guests staying at the campsite, and our kitchen staff offer wonderful culinary delights ranging from traditional South Tyrolean fare to Mediterranean dishes and exotic, light Asian specialties. Loewenhof also features a conference room and a dedicated play area for children.


Gastronomy in the hotel
In our sophisticated restaurant you will find Italian, French and local traditional food, accompanied by a creative salad buffet which is a real treat. We also prepare delicious pizzas in our traditional wooden stove. We use fresh local products to make our food. Next to the restaurant you will find our Loewen bar, with a cozy stone pine parlor and a spacious terrace café.

Sports, entertainment and pool in the hotel
At Loewenhof, all seasons have their particular delights. Enjoy the colorful spring, go on exploratory hikes in the high and medium mountains (leading up to 3,000 m of altitude), experience traditional Törggelen evenings in fall (tasting the young wine, speck and chestnuts), and take interesting day trips to the nearby artistic and cultural attractions. We now also offer bicycles for rent, and guided tours of the surrounding area. In winter, have fun on the ski and snowboard pistes on the local Plose mountain or go ice skating in the Bressanone ice hall. There are a number of possible sporting activities, all of which are located nearby: tennis (winter and summer), walking and hiking, Kneipping, horseback riding, mountain biking, bowling, fishing, curling, cross-country skiing, tobogganing. There are also outdoor and indoor pools in the Loewenhof spa area.

All our rooms include shower, WC, bidet, hair dryer, satellite TV, well-equipped kitchen, coffee machine, lounge, and balcony. Five individually designed apartments offer complete relaxation and a perfect base for exploring the area. Our campsite offers space for 50 parties on the soft meadows, with excellent sanitary facilities, a large outdoor pool, play rooms (table tennis, video games, table football and children’s room), mini golf, bicycle rental and tennis courts (at 100 m from the campsite).
