Hotel Mattenhof Resort

The hotel is getting old, but because of the furnishing a great flair. We are traveling as a family (two adults, 1 son 17 years) and had the family room (with connecting door) was excellently clean, as well as a beautiful view of the mountains. The breakfast was normal (juices, sausage, cheese, cereal, bread, toast, croissants, jam) however the staff were at the The population were not very attentive, mostly, one had to ask. Hotel was clean, well run, the room large w/ balcony overlooking mountains and a nice shower. Breakfast was free, get to it early, it got picked over by the time we went to breakfast (1/2 hour before it closed). It was a 20minute walk from the Interlaken Ost train station, but hotel provided free bus transportation once we checked in which we used to return to the train station when we departed. Read more

There was mold in the shower, the toilet you had to keep open (to be noticed). The toilet was not clean, the toilet on the wall were graffiti. Walls very thin, everything was quite noisy. Relatively quiet, because of the main street estate went past. Therefor but a wonderful Park and great views of the mountains! Read more

CHF 200-per night and the room was a steep price for what you get. Very old and partially damaged the setting up I can hurt. But the carpet was worn out and a tripping hazard. The worst however, it was stained and in all sizes and color strewn and it had water stains on the walls. At least the bed was clean and the bathroom appeared to be cleaned and there were clean towels. The breakfast buffet was rather poor too, as for the number of guests much too few goods provided.
