Hotel Meliá Alicante

A bit aged large hotel in a perfect location: two minutes to the beach or to the marina, five minutes walk to the old town with almost unlimited range of bars and restaurants. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Lunch and dinner in the old town at least significantly cheaper. (we never ate at the hotel). Pool is tiny and not to be used for swimming, however therefor it is instead the beach. We were very pleased with the hotel. All the leisure activities on offer were up until 8:30 P.M. on site, so perfect for late risers. The hotel staff was always friendly and courteous. The rooms are very clean. The breakfast was only until 10:30, but it was worth it in any case. Very delicious! The sandy beach is clearly preferable to the pool, since the beach is very busy and not so clean. You just a few minutes from the city, has one of the most beautiful beaches! Read more

The 4-star sing justified, the service, the fantastic breakfast buffet and the offer of the hotel. We're sorry, but it is already older and at least the standard rooms are a bit shabby and look at Intnert photos considerably from better. The hotel is ideally located for a city trip. When the weather is nice, the beach is right next door certainly ideal. Nearby bars and restaurants. But be careful: it is usual in Spain, that restaurants in the evening at the earliest around 19:30 o 'clock is open (in the hotel even at 20,30 o' clock). For families with smaller children this is certainly not ideal. Very nice new hotel with great location. Between the beach and a marina nearby the city center very. Nice outdoor pool and the breakfast buffet was also very extensive. Actually everything was very nice. Sorry, I thought it was, you had to pay extra the indoor swimming pool. Read more
