Our room was very clean and well maintained. The bathroom is a bit small and a little dated, in the bathroom there were unfortunately there was no outlet, this was in the room. The breakfast buffet was very delicious and there was a wide selection. Our room was on the street side, the Windows due to the street noise at night open. The hotel is located in the immediate vicinity of the train station. Since we arrived by train, we needed just across the street and we were already at the hotel. A superior room in this hotel was worth it! All rooms are in the fifth floor and the room from a wonderful view over the city (depending on the location of the room of course). The rooms are very large and nicely decorated. The drinks from the mini bar are free of charge. Coffee maker, bathrobe, slippers. everything was available. The tv has several German channels. The hotel is only a few metres from the train station in a central location. The transport here in strasbourg at short intervals minute (about five to 10 minute.) however, you can reach the hotel on foot in 15 minutes also to important in the city center. With the TGV is in good two hours in Paris!
At the reception they spoke German and was also also helpful. It is a Wi-Fi access free of charge.
It was at breakfast everything from fresh fruit to a french specialities to the english breakfast tea.

Two nights we were in strasbourg, the hotel is right across from the train station. The condition is recently renovated and clean (so no typical Paddington). The cathedral, the old town and petite France is within a few minutes walking distance to. We had a room with a small balcony to Stefan (we found nicer than the room in between swimming without balcony), despite the window open it was quiet at night.

Gare Centrale the hotel Mercure strasbourg is situated directly opposite the train station in strasbourg. Our room was on the first floor was according to the check-in Lady one of the larger in the hotel. It made a worn impression and however old. Also the bathroom was not more on the newest condition. for a night OK but not more. The big disappointment was but the really sparse breakfast buffet, which it only on demand rolls.
