The hotel is situated opposite a church, in the vicinity of the Zentrum's. there are nice restaurants and shops. Spacious and clean the rooms were. The bathroom was new and nothing was missing. To the furnishings of the room included a tv (no German channels), hair dryer, coffee maker, iron and ironing board. Unfortunately you could not open the window (Air conditioning). The food was good. Staff friendly. Spa area was not used by us. Conclusion: we can recommend this hotel. Read more

On my business trip I took this hotel several times. The hotel is relatively cheap but not centrally located at a large road. The amusement area ( restaurants and bars is about ten minutes away on foot. The hotel is in comparison with other English business hotels quite well maintained. The public areas and the rooms are well maintained. Slight troubles with the cleanliness of sheets and bathroom I could experience twice. Spa is available but didn't try it.       We upgraded our room to executive king for an extra £15,which we got told was one of the best rooms in the the hotel,we where very happy because it was nice,nice view,complementary bottles of water,we where happy with that,we would definetly stay there again,we had a very nice time,the hotel was very nice,the staff where very nice and helpful,and the breakfast was very nice to,all in all a very nice stay at the mercure.
