The standard of this hotel is unfortunately not the usual Mercure standard. Reservation, check-in, etc. walked easily, but the big disappointment came when we opened the room door: the small size of the room with a double bed was in our case it was hardly to beat, because you could just on each side of the bed and reach, two medium suitcases then adjusted access to the door. Mercure Porto Centro lies ideal directly at the city center and is very good with the (road) train. Parking spaces for guests with rental car are as good as not to get free. Due to its central location (also to the train station) the area surrounding the hotel is not very welcoming. The rooms are very small and extremely easy equipped. For short get aways the hotel is in a good location, as a starting point for exploring Porto very suitable. The breakfast is however outside-that is much cheaper and there is usually more selection. I was so in march in Porto. From the train station was out and went to the corner. Wool actually the commercial use for the away to the hotel. But then I saw a short cut. A old stones and a steep stairs directly from around the back ' to the hotel led. All people the also times as I said arrivals: take the commercial area. As the abbreviation is really steep and sweaty.
