For a 'Mövenpick' hotel and expectations (and elsewhere also very much better experienced) was a disappointment. No question the location of the hotel on the Nile island is unique, and the view of Aswan on night is top. The restaurants and the service staff is only below average ( for example all were very friendly and endeavored, in their words, the functioning and performance is to be called rather than rude (plates were taken away, no cutlery refilled, etc.) the dishes were International monotonous and unfortunately it was only very littl... We used this hotel as a overnight stay possibility of our Aswan and Abu Simbel-visit. I really liked very much the situation of the hotel on the island elephantine and with the shuttle boat runs. This drives depending on your needs. The check-in went smoothly and we got the room 379 with balcony in the direction of the Nile (very nice view over the park and opposite nilufer). ... our taxi driver from Luxor real problems... The island was divided the Mövenpick with two very nice Nubian villages. Unfortunately the rather difficult away is there, because behind the gate only a track must be maintained.
The area is newly renovated and in excellent condition. The Nile view room with a balcony, the visually ugly tower offers a wonderful view on the surroundings with most O and is ideal for the evening sundowner. Absolutely to recommend, if a good price is reached. The official prices according to the bulletin are beyond good and evil.
Most of the room have a very beautiful Nile view.
The highlight is the panorama restaurant/Bar in the rare traffic 13. Floor.

the island is one in a forced manner with a shuttle boat docks to the mainland, this is free and also the bags on board, since there is a small tip.

The staff were extremely helpful, I booked a surprise meal with champagne and birthday cake for my partners 40th birthday which the guest Relastiosn Manager and Catering Manager made extremely easy, and they even sang Happy Birthday when the cake was brought out, excellent - in April 10
