Love Mövenpick-people, since it in Jordan are very present, you will your in fact, the hotel is not over! Only, certain things for a hotel in this price range are not acceptable. The rock beds, for example, or the extremely rugged restaurant( charm one Concourse, especially because of the Acoustics). One has to try then also no more desire, the sinfully Vienna. Read more

With my daughter we could start to a wonderful week spend. Staff in the hotel is convenient, polite and gracious. Dientstleistung is excellent, room, nice clean bathroom, bed comfortable, with closed window no noise through the door. Beach not crowded, many pools, you can don't get bored because there are all around.
some guests are not well informed by tour operators or travel companions-are not behavior. For example: how to fashion (not) or off. There were always 1-2 families the unentzogen and night too noisy.
in short: a week is a little. Read more

a very nice hotel with one great pool area. We were with our 18 months old son 2 weeks there for. When we in the hotel were, there were very many locals and the Israelis, all with one large Traveled Kinderschar, so that the noise level by the pool, as well as in the main restaurant very high. Next to the noise was the quality of the beach unfortunately also the behavior the other guests very annoying. At the buffet line up there seems other Subject to rules, we unfortunately not understood have, because women and children rushed anytime agai... Read more

I've chosen this resort based on its rating on tripadvisor and it was a great vacation we arrived around 3:30 pm and the check -in was fast for our 4 rooms and welcome drinks were offered at the front desk The regular rooms space are more than enough but the family rooms are kinda small the rooms were clean and the daily cleaning was good and even if you ask for it at 11pm they'll be there The free mini bar was a good idea and the also the coffee/tea making tray but as a suggestion for the hotel i think 2 of everything should be there because its a 2 beds room The main restaurant is good with great varieties for the breakfast but not that much for dinner but the food is delicious, and we didn't have the chance to try the Italian restaurant because it was fully booked for 2 days the pools are nice and clean but one thing i didn't like is that all the pools are 1. - in August 10

Ambience and service are good but the food is mediocre and expensive. - in January 11
Very good service; has a shuttle to/from town but could do with more frequent trips; competent staff; and most important, we were made to feel very welcome in a genuine way - everybody was genuinely nice, eventhough it is their job to be welcoming, there was no hint that the welcome and pleasantness was not genuine. - in December 10

Location

- in January 10
The setting is superb, the hotel definitely 5 star,BUT the hotel is so big(and getting bigger, extension being built) that it felt a bit like a housing estate with rooms a long way from the main building, down long corridors. - in October 09
A lovely big hotel, although populated with coach parties, which didn't make it feel like a 5-star hotel.
- in January 10

- in November 10
The complimentary shuttle bus timetable did not make is easy for guests to go for an evening meal to Aqaba. - in October 10
There is a complimentary shuttle bus which will take you into Aqaba city if you would like to eat outside of the hotel ( I can reccommend Ali Baba restaurant and Formosa Chinese restaurant) The only problem with this is that it takes 20 mins each way, and the timings may not be convenient.
- in November 10

- in April 11
We found the other restaurants around the resort to be pricey but the free shuttle into town was most conventient to find less expensive places to eat lunch and dinner. - in November 10

Free shuttle bus to Aqaba but very infrequent. - in May 10
However, there is a free (first-come, first-served) shuttle bus to the Moevenpick Aqaba a couple of times a day, if you want to go to the town, and to be honest, the restaurants and leisure facilities at the hotel are so good, you probably won't want or need to leave!

Excellent breakfast buffet.
- in November 10

- in May 10
There are some lovely details like a minibar with free soft drinks, replenished daily, excellent toiletries, and (unusually for Jordan), a kettle with sachets of hot drinks (although we really resented having to pay 3JD for a little jug of fresh milk to have with them, rather than the nasty powdered stuff). - in February 10
Free soft drinks in the minibar were replenished daily and bottled water was supplied.
- in May 10

- in August 10
We were moved to a very beautiful 2 bed suite (for a small additional fee which we would have preferred not to pay but when all was said and done it was fair for what we got) and all the luxurious little touches seemed to follow - we were given fresh fruit and choclates and the staff were extremely attentive. - in May 10
But for that, we got an amazing breakfast, included in the room rate - my favourite items were omelettes cooked to order, wonderful fresh bread and pastries, yoghurts (including bircher muesli), fresh fruit, cheeses and meats, proper fresh juice, and good coffee (which I found really rare in Jordan).
- in August 10

- in May 10
Wine and drinks were good, but also expensive - the cocktails and coffees were exorbitant, even compared with central London prices (cocktails about 11JD each and coffees 3.
- in May 10

- in October 10
There was a good selection of huge pillows and the mattress was from heaven. - in October 10
As far as food is concerned, there was a good selection at the breakfast buffet, but apart from food from the egg chef, the other food was only warm - and there were no hot plates. - in March 10
Apparently if you take half board you can split your time between the two Aqaba hotels, seems a good option as no restaurants, other than the hotel's at Tala Bay, and a good selection in Aqaba itself, but don't go to Floka, catering down to tourists, really poor food and you can do so much better at El Capitain across the road or Ali Baba by the roundabout.
- in October 10

- in November 10
great breakfast. - in May 10
Breakfast was great varitey and delicious. - in March 11

BE WARNED - food and alcohol can be expensive in Jordan.
- in October 10

- in March 10
The buffet restaurant serves excellent food with great variety but lacks atmosphere which makes it suitable for breakfast, less so for dinner and at JD25 a head excluding drinks we thought it was expensive. - in January 10
The food was good but the drinks were VERY expensive. - in December 09
Another review thought drinks were expensive - well it's a 5 star hotel and prices are what you would pay .

fantastic pool with slide, pool restaurant - one of the biggest pools i have ever seen. - in January 10
It has a fantastic pool system with around 7 swimming pools (of which one is heated which is great at this time of year).
- in April 11

- in March 11
A particularly useful feature of the hotel is the shuttle service between tala Bay and the sister hotel in Aqaba itself - it runs 8 times a day, is free, and allows you to get a change of scenery when you'd like something more than just swimming pools and beaches (although the pools are great). - in October 10
*they did have lots of empty/available rooms on that date* 2) Beach is not beautiful (great pools though) - Sand not clean. - in July 10
Great pools, calm beach, nice gardens, all very well maintained, like it was the case for the whole resort.
- in March 11

- in January 10
The family deluxe room that we stayed in looked new and fresh, plenty of space for the 4 of us and a direct view of the heated pool plus the Red Sea. - in December 10

The heated pool was nice to have anyway as the regular pools could be a bit chilly.
- in January 10

- in April 11
Only one of the many pools was heated during our stay so our swimming was limited. - in November 10
Hotel facilities were first class (only one year old) with one of pools heated nearest hotel, although personally I found other pools or sea perfectly acceptable. - in December 09
The heated pools and hot tubs were fabulous in the winter and the hotel told us that ALL the pools would be heated in the future ( the hotel only opened a few weeks ago ).
- in April 11

- in April 11
So wonderful pools and see side, evrything arganized there. - in July 10
We spent three days for rest and relaxation just doing nothing but sunbathing in one of the three wonderful pools, enjoying the hotel facilities, being pampered by the friendly staff and we really enjoyed our stay.
- in April 11

- in May 11
A few things could be improved: the pools need to be heated, the Children's center is understaffed and I never felt I could leave my children there alone (I stayed and noticed that oddly, the pool went unsupervised for unacceptable periods of time as the lone worker was inside with other children). - in December 09
The heated pools and hot tubs were fabulous in the winter and the hotel told us that ALL the pools would be heated in the future ( the hotel only opened a few weeks ago ).
- in May 11

- in September 10
hats off ( chapeau ) movenpick -Tala Bay , the only drawback is the SPA ( which is a totally independant entity from the hotel ) its ridiculousely expensive
