The Mombasa Continental is a large, luxurious resort, in the the service very important. The started on arrival to, our room was not finished yet, as we because of the low transfer time very early in the hotel were, and so we were in the meantime other completely equipped Room assigned, in which we could relax, until our room was ready.

The hotel is situated on a beautiful sandy beach - there are plenty of beach chairs with cushions and towels (free for hotel guests). The pool is adequate for cooling off and swimming back and forth a little, but I preferred the about 25°C warm sea. The vendors on the beach (who you will find in any holiday country these days) approach you, but the security staff that are around forbid them to enter the hotel area.

I had the time of my life at this hotel. While I was there for business reasons, I also had much time to do what I wanted. The service was great! The food was great! The prices were great! The hotel and hotel grounds were a pleasure to be in. I loved the pool area, and the beach access as well. I don't know if Freddie is still there, but if so, he was absolutely the greatest help while there. He would take us to good places away from the hotel, tell us where to stay away from, and give us pointers to keep us on the right track while we were ... Read more
