This hotel is excellent in all respects. The building used to a convent hundreds of years ago and some of the original features have been preserved - my room had an original fresco on the wall! Extremely clean and hygienic so don't worry about the building being old - it's what makes this such a unique experience.

Very big rooms with high ceilings - beautifully furnished with genuine art works and, best of all, very quiet, allowing for a good night's sleep. The staff are very friendly and speak English very well. Indeed they were very helpful in advising on booking various attractions in advance, and gave details. Very clean and central to all main attractions; whilst being away from noisy traffic. An excellent place to stay in Florence.

Highly recommended. A quiet, restful home just a short stroll from the Duomo. I chanced upon the hotel from a travel guide and could not be happier with the choice. The staff was welcoming and went out of their way to help me discover and enjoy Firenze. My room was quiet and comfortable. I felt safe walking through the neighborhood, day or night, and enjoyed the coffee bars in the area. And the chocolate in my room each night was outstanding. I would definitely stay again. Read more

The room was big enough, clean & quiet ... but we didn't stay in it much (too much to see in the city.)
When we forgot a passport in the room safe, the staff called us. By then, we were in Rome and fretting about what to do. The staff mailed us the passport, express, at the hotel's expense, to our Rome hotel. Crisis averted, due to the great staff at Hotel Morandi.
