It is a venerable, old hotel in the British style of the colonial era.
The room was from the size and furnishing was of high style. Everything nature tiptop clean.
The dinner and the breakfast was in buffet form enough. Tasted very good. Whether probably when we first breakfast English and Sri Lanka style were a little overwhelmed (very spicy ).

Makes already impression if one arrives and is served from nice ' Soldiers' welcomes. Old venerable hotel, for 200 years for the beloved of the British Sri Lanka government built. (it must be a woman have been!). We had for 5 nights in the best room type booked (Seeview - room 453-700, -over meiers), modern room, large, spacious, clean, great balcony. After a tour of Sri Lanka was the hotel Mount Lavinia our last stop. Our room was on the fifth floor. A great view over the sea and a part of the hotel. The room was very spacious with everything that belonged to it. The bathroom was clean and nice the staff was very friendly. We had room service, it worked quickly and easily. The food was tasty and something for everyone. Very nice food for dinner on the terrace with a beautiful view over the sea.
Our stay at the hotel Mount Lavinia was short-lived however, we were very satisfied.
