A former 4 star hotel in great need of modernisation. floor tiles and carpets are badly worn. The façade crumbled away and is shabby, railings were rusting. Large closet with Ablagefächern and 20 coathangers. Satellite TV with stations, a mini bar and a safe (2 euros/day) in the room. Cleaning very clean. Half board consisted of rich breakfast buffet and changing buffet dinner. Soups were very tasty, several fish and meat dishes. Guests are mainly older 60 + German, English and French, no Russians, few kids.

I had breakfast only because at night in the old town of Funchal wanted to enjoy the cultures. The 1985 . Continually updated mixed, many French, groups, Portuguese and compatriots.
