We booked the hotel because of positive reviews here and didn't get disappointed. The hotel area was very neat, beautiful and clean. It was always a nice sight if you looked over the area from the bar. The hotel still looked good after years (we've already visited the hotel 10 years ago), we couldn't complain about anything. We booked half board. The structure of the guests was mixed, there were many older guests in the hotel, but during that season it was probably nearly everywhere like this. ... bad. The hotel Mythos Palace was situated directly at a street with much traffic which connected Chania with Rethymnon. In the rooms to the street, the night ended at 6 am and there was a moderate volume from 1 am on. At the weekend, you had peace for two hours more. The ocean and the beach directly adjoined to the hotel at its back, it was about 150 meters away. The area extended over two wings with each 3 stories. The hotel is beautiful, marble staircases, lovely furniture, we stayed in a family suite for 4 it was a good size with a fridge and air conditioning, at the front of our room was the hotel pool and at the back a patio looking onto the beach a fabulous view! The hotel seems to keep it self up to date, they had new lcd tv's which they did not have the previous year we visited. Nice hotel with very nice architecture. Reception friendly and courteous. Rooms bright and friendly. It was always made very clean. Nice terrace-minibar was immediately filled up (free of charge). Rooms were always cleaned very thoroughly. Foreign language knowledge is good. Check-in not complicated. You should probably not fly in October, as the weather can be very changeable. We had 1 week of rain out of 2 weeks (storm like). It is a better travel time in September. Price/performance ratio is okay. We have taken an aspirin, very cheap. ... The food during the all meal times was excellent and diversified. The beach with beach bar was just in front of the hotel. Large pool with poolbar. Partially the rooms had their own pools, respectively three or four rooms a common pool. Comfortable bar, where twice a week there are entertainment programs taking place.
