This is a small, clean 4-star hotel.
We had a low-cost room. However, for a 4-star hotel, I thought that the room was extremely small, fitting the bed and from 0. 5 to 1m clearance space around it. The mattress was very creaky and not of good quality. There is supposed to be a free mini-bar which is stocked with soft drinks. However, there were only 2 bottles of mineral water in the fridge.
The lady at reception was rather curt with us.
Well-located beside a metro station, just one station stop downhill from the main Lausanne train station. Read more

Pros: friendly staff, especially the housecleaning person; location; free local transportation passes, which made it easy to get into Lausanne; proximity to Olympic Museum (which we were hoping to visit but it was closed by the time we arrived) Cons: hallways were a little worn, as was the bathroom; overall appearance was a bit gloomy; room lighting was dim; room location was over some sort of garbage bin; immediate neighborhood (once you left the harbor) felt a little sketchy; parking in that area is really expensive (as is everything else).
