We can understand the positive reviews. Because of the positive reviews before we booked the hotel, but regret it. The location of the hotel was really great, short walk at the castle etc. breakfast is okay. The hallway, however, was very cramped and musty smell. The room for at least 86 €was not at all my expectations of a hotel room at this price taste are still arguing, but the cleanliness wasn't't. The carpet was extremely spotted. Very good and rich breakfast buffet. Really everything was very clean.

We were very pleased with the hotel. Staff was nice and friendly.
Cancellation of a second room was possible without trouble.
Bathroom and toilet was a bit too small.
Therefor a small dressing area, next to the bedroom.
Value for money is great.
For a double room with breakfast we paid 70 €.

Since we were in the spring in the hotel Aurora Borealis felt very comfortable, we had our way back here. This time we can only rave about the breakfast and our room was gorgeous. We will definitely be regular lights in the hotel... It is highly recommended! Read more

The aurora borealis is a small hotel, very silent hotel in the middle of the old town of Schwerin. Due to its size it is not accessible for disabled people. There is a narrow, steep stairs up to the rooms. Our room was simple, but nicely furnished. Everything seemed clean... Closely if you are not.
