Hotel with very good price/performance ratio. The room for shorter stay also for two adults and two kids okay. Breakfast was great (very large selection, nice breakfast area). The roof terrace with pool and bar is very beautiful, the views over the whole city (Acropolis, etc. Piraeus) is great. The location is better than described in part (underground/train station Larissa in five minutes to foot attainable, also very large supermarket there). We have felt at all unsafe not us. We stayed for a 4 day package holiday ( L'tur) in December 2010 Novotel Athens. After reading some negative reviews about the local area of the hotel were hesitant haivng read on site, but very positively surprised. The hotel is not in the most beautiful surroundings admittedly the central Athens. That the crime rate in the surrounding area could be a problem, but we didn't really notice. We used the hotel certainly expected more. Especially the location is shocking! It has the feel of being in the "Ghetto" of Athens to have gotten. We were attentive without asking made several times, don't walk to get to the hotel ("be aware of the dark people"). The hotel is 4 star and is nicely designed. Ostensibly so that was nice. You look a bit behind the front are numerous insufficiencies suitable for use.
The rooms were big enough and own a normal standard. But mold collections in a hotel room didn't - here!
The staff speaks English - point - but otherwise overstrained. Important information will not or - in our case - misrepresented. A staff member lied twice - without need -.
