the hotel lies directly on the beach street at the harbor, just in front of the hotel (very quiet) exit. Up until to the center about ten minutes to walk (with child). It made a very good impression, which one does not receive from the inside, it is in the back was grown and the majority of the rooms. It is very concorted, narrow, long hallways. The hotel is located in the immediate sea, the Stadtzebtrum is reachable in ten minutes walking distance. From there you can explore the city or to travel with the ferry to the Isle of Mull, for example.
The hotel has a bit dark Charme the early eighties but clean.
The staff is rather tendenziel from Eastern Europe and it could happen that the young man from the room service in the evening as waiters or barkeepers met again. Unfortunately no fitness area. The breakfast tasted, takes thanks to the individual making partly for a very long time... Read more

The hotel was located on the outskirts of Oban on the coast, 5 minutes walk to town. It has nice public areas (bar, lounge) and a free internet PC.
Room was clean. Towels were changed in the morning. Small TV, no German program. However the room was very small, but ok for 2 nights.
Service was great. Easy to understand English! We had problems with the shower, they can help us immediately.
Cell phone reception Oban is everywhere. We highly recommend the climb to the Colosseum. It is well worth it!

the hotel is looking tired and needs a bit of a revamp, especially the steam room and spa changing rooms where the showers worked sporadically and the floor floods if more than one has a shower due to poor drainage.

The only down side is the lack of parking at the hotel itself, but we were aware of this before we arrived, therefore had made other enquries about parking and there is sufficient parking 2 mins away from the hotel.
