Hotel Old Waverley

We have been guests at the Old Waverley Hotel in Edinburgh for one night, from July 20th to July 21st, in room 114. We enjoyed our stay - the staff was welcoming and our room was nice - so we were planning to come back some time. Sadly we were really disappointed by the way we were treated when I forgot some of my property in the wardrobe. ... Die Zimmer sind eher klein, auch das Bad. Das Bad muss vor kurzem renoviert worden sein - neue Fliessen, kein Schimmel - tiptop. Das Frühstück ist landestypisch, also nicht für jeden Geschmack. Aber es hat auch Müsli, Joghurt, Milch und Toast mit Marmelade - man wird also nicht verhungern. Das Personal ist eher wortkarg. Sehr positiv ist die zentrale Lage - Sehenswürdigkeiten, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Pubs sind gleich um die Ecke. Wer also zentral wohnen möchte und auf zuviel Komfort verzichten kann - dem ist das Old Waverly zu empfehlen. Read more
