You definitely need a vehicle if you want to make more than walking. Parking right in front of the hotel. The town center is within five minutes walking distance. The Olymp is also not far. The coast is about 6 km downhill, no footpath. No sandy beach in litohoro or Plaka, the next sandy beach is about 10 km away in leptokarya. Leptokarya offered many shopping possibilities, a sandy beach with a little harder about two feet wide directly in front of the water. Our stay at the hotel Olympus Mediterranean was overall a good deal. We were a little shocked by the size of the room reserved for us (205 ), the - although comfortable - little room for a longer stay. You feel yourself a little cramped. The built-in closet offers very little space for clothes. And carry your suitcases anywhere within the small room also be stored in there. We have two people in the hotel 5 wonderful days, warm welcome and looked after and can recommend the hotel unreservedly. It is in a quiet location and is still almost in the center. The view from the balcony - links the Olymp - right on the sea - perfect. We would stay there again. Read more

I highly recommend this hotel if you are like us and like to stay away from the tourist areas. A rental car is necessary as the beaches are not within walking distance. At night you can end the day in the numerous tavernas. Read more

We were there for our 10th anniversary. Cute little, romantic hotel 'German'middle class. Staff very friendly, daily towel change. We were not fortunate with the weather, so we took our rental car with many trips in the area, including a 2 day trip to Athens - highly recommended. indoor swimming pool in the basement very small. We had booked half board. Breakfast very one-sided, dinner, if you don't degrees was right at the beginning, pretty bland and only lukewarm. Quite further walk to the beach. The jacuzzi in the bathroom was a little bit small.

luxury was not meeting expectations - I chose it because of his inside swimming pool after a day of cultural tripping with the children, but the water of the swimming pool was cold so impossible to swim even for children - this severley disappointed us!

There is a small pool but it was not heated which was disappointing but we stayed so busy in the area we really did not have time for swimming.
