An older hotel in the years. The location is excellent. Only by the road from the beach separately.
The room is adequate size. TV, fridge, balcony. Here a renovation is needed, however. The carpets is certainly years. The walls need a fresh coat of paint.
In principle, the cleanliness left to be desired. The rich breakfast buffet was very good. To the smell of fresh fish in the morning, you must get used to it though. The beautiful 3-star hotel is located directly on the beach of Waikiki, in between the Kalakaua avenue, where you can find many great shops. You can easily walk to the beautiful upscale shopping or simply also only go in one of the many ABC stores. There is everything to buy it, beverages, sandwiches, souvenirs, clothes is also in the Kalakaua avenue of the international market place. Our shuttle driver was great, he told us where to go to grab a drink with a nice view, and there is no better bar then the one at the Ala Moana hotel, the staff there is VERY friendly, make very good Mai Tai's and the bar is right on the beach.

We booked the cheapest room to conserve money; however, the hotel did upgrade us to the 31st floor with a Diamond Head / Ocean view room for our honeymoon and we loved sitting on the balcony because the views were spectacular. - in October 10

We go to the new room and lay on the bed, and no joke, this bed was hard as a rock. - in July 10
The room was nice and clean but the bed was very hard, and the "Oceanview" upgrade to me, was a waste of money as you still face another hotel instead of the ocean, you have to lean over the balcony and look left to get ocean views, I went to a different clerk to talk about this and she gave me a snotty response also, she said "If you can lean over the balcony and see the ocean, we consider this an ocean view".
