Panoráma Hotel**** is located in the centre of Kaprun and with its friendly and family-like atmosphere welcomes all those guests who love the Alps and active leisure programmes.

We offer our guests an unforgettable stay in the heart of Zell am See-Kaprunregion at the foot of the Kitzsteinhorn glacier, which provides the opportunity to ski all year round for visitors. The brand newTauern Spa, one of the greatestwater parks and golf centres in the Alps, and the starting point of most hiking trails are all located in the neighbourhood of the hotel.

The hotel has a parking lot, a storage for skiing equipment and accessories, and a wellness wing with sauna, solarium, and gym to ensure your perfect comfort and leisure activities.

Our tastefully designed 15 roomed hotel is a perfect place for families, and for holding friendly gatherings, and company events.

Kaprun, surrounded by the neighbouring mountain peaks, provides a wide range of possibilities to those fond of skiing or snowboarding. The ski resorts are easily accessible from the settlement stretching out in the valley. The balcony of the hotel has a wonderful sight over the Kitzsteinhorn glacier, where Austria’s first glacier ski-centre operates. The presence of ice and the high altitude (3209 metres) ensures that the area is ready for skiing all year round.



The 41 kilometres long ski trail system is accessible in 10 minutes and offers various possibilities to everyone, from beginners to professionals. Besides the blue, red and black trails, there are marked trails for those who enjoy deep snow skiing. Those fond of freestyle skiing and boarding can show their bests at fun parks. Skiers can check out the unmatched atmosphere of panoramic terraces, classic “hüttes,” and special ice bars between the slopes.



Maiskogel and Schaufelberg – located in the centre of Kaprun – are highly recommended to beginners and families. The ski trails are only a couple of minutes of walk from the hotel, which makes it easily accessible for the children. The 20 kilometres long trail system is easy to see through and most of the trails are of blue difficulty level into which black and red trails connect. These tracks are identically ideal to those preparing themselves for Kitzsteinhorn and to those who wish to learn the basics of skiing; its location also makes it an excellent choice to spend some hours of free time.



For the beginners, it is especially recommended to try one of Kaprun’s student trails (Lechnerberg,) which are right behind the hotel.

Schmittenhöheis a 10 minutes’ drive in the direction of Zell am See. Several trails start from the 2000 metres high peak. The 77 kilometres long trail system is equally divided between all difficulty levels, therefore it is highly recommended to everyone. The slopes are made even more exciting by the statues that were placed and funded by the Kunst am Berg project. The trails, just like the trails of Kitzsteinorn, gives place to ski and snowboard competitions.



A large variety of ski-related accessories and services are available, including rentals, accessory shops, and trainings. Trails of Zillertal, Kitzbuchel, Saalbach, and Schladming-Dachstein can be reached in an hour from the hotel.

Bobsled awaits all its fans all year round on Maiskogel. In some kilometres distance multiple sledge tracks wait our visitors, the tracks operate even at night.

Our hotel sports with 15 comfortable double rooms, each of them has a wonderful panorama on the Kitzsteinhorn and Maiskogel peaks. Extra beds, baby beds, feeding chairs are available on request.

On each level of the hotel, 2-2 rooms can be joined together, which provides perfect comfort to families with children.
