'All inclusive guests 'were strictly separated from' half-board ' guests. (other/different restaurant) as 'half-board guests 'always had the impression-guests of second class. We have our two weeks in the hotel we really enjoyed. The rooms are nice, big enough (one is anyway all day long at the beach or on the way) and clean. The housekeeping staff, as well as the whole staff spoke a little German and is extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again. Read more

As a hotel it is OK as long as you haven't paid much to stay there but it is noisy with lots of young people coming in at all times of the early hours of the morning.

we ended up walking everywhere and spending a fortune on quad bikes (which is another scam - €20 for a week with insurance :) YAY, you sign the contract then have to pay a further €120 for full insurance or they threaten to damage the quads and insist you pay €3000 - we didn't have a bad holiday but we were extremely let down and disappointed with this hotel, if we had better accomodation it would have been the best holiday of our lives.

alcohol was not all inc only beer pop red and white wine brandy and oozo thats all u have ,,,,have to but the rest we as gutted only vodka we liked our rooms was damp and it smell horriable ,and the beds made out of stone towels was grainy dirty and bed was changed once a week and we also had bites on our skin from our room , but i got to say the staff was really friendly u would get 1 or 2 grumpy old men , the pool was really nice but get up early for a bed and the beach beds you got to pay 4 euros a day what a scandle , the food was ok but its not the hilton , nothing to do in the hotel ,

On arrival at the hotel at 3:30 am we walked in to a pitch black reception to find the receptionist asleep and was not best pleased we had woken him, we were shown to our room which consisted of a bed and a table, the only bedding that was supplied was a pillow and a bed sheet, no duvet, no air con, no fridge, no TV nothing, we tried to sleep but due to being cold, ridiculous amounts of noise from cleaners, bin men and guests and mosquitos we had no success.

THE FINAL POOL DOES NOT HAVE A BRIDGE ACROSS, IS EXTREMELY SMALL FOR THE SIZE OF HOTEL AND IS NEVER CLEANED OUT (we stayed for 12 days and it was not cleaned for that duration) our room was tiny, barelt fitting 3 to a room the last thing we needed was no air conditioning, a fridge that didn't work, a maid which cleaned what she wanted (she just about gave us towels, we emptied bins ourselves and had to make do with second hand resources) you also don't get a hairdryer unless you pay 20euros per person to your room!

I still can't believe how cheap it is to stay here, im sure you wont find anywhere cheaper so please don't grumble about spending a couple of euros on a beach bed or moan that cocktails are not in the all inclusive????? Are some people for real???? My only complaint???? The only thing that made me sad and quite angry are how some of the young English people treat and speak to these lovely, lovely people. - in September 10

Little food on offer - great if you love chips and cucumber, no snack bar (unless you want to pay) Drinks - no choice beer, wine or raki and ouzo, bar staff very rude strictly 1 drink each and closes promptly at 11pm even if you are stood at the bar before waiting to be served - no chance.

Walk out the back of the hotel and you see a beautiful beach; look to the right and see a 60 foot adult pool with snack bar; the beach bar is hosted by Vassillie; turn to the left and see three wading pools with kids having a ball. - in June 10
Location suited is most beautiful beach in Malia with it's own lagoon, I guess the only problem could be the 4 euro charge for a sunbed, but that's a government charge not a fee to the hotel.

The location of Phaedra is perfect 2km from Malia town strip which we visited twice, the weather was hot hot hot but bareable. - in August 10
we had the best holiday at Phaedra beach as soon as we arrived grant you there were a few hiccups the air con unit was not working so we were able to change rooms and the location was perfect we had a balcony that overlooked the main walkway to the hotel so very safe here dont read all the negative reviews people like to moan toooo much lol.
