The Porto Bay Rio is a very good city/beach hotel right next to the Copacabana palace. It has good equipped not too small rooms with very good safety deposit box, flat screen tv and all comfort a good four star hotels. The bathroom was not very big, but very efficient and clean. Was already for the second time in this hotel, this time only for three days. It offers, for its location, a good value for money. You feel comfortable here as a guest and safe. In panaroma restaurant one can prepare oneself with the breakfast for a great Rio day. The free beach services (chairs and sunshades) completes the offer. The hotel is located directly on the beach of Copacabana. From our balcony we saw the beach on one side and on the other the Christ-statue. In the near vicinity there are many shopping possibilities and different restaurants. The rooms are neat and of sufficient size. The restaurant is located on the fifth floor and you can get at the breakfast, which is more than enough and tasty, with a magnificent view of the Copacabana. we had a deluxe room with COPA Cana-view, simply genial! The extra charge it has in any case worth it. The staff at the front desk are very helpful, they can arrange everything according to the customers fast and easy, from the taxi through trip to the private chauffeur.
