An absolutely wonderful vacation in a nearly perfect hotel on a beautiful island. At the hotel, the service and the food was nothing to complain about. Unfortunately we could not try all the dishes, there were too many. Half board was absolutely sufficient, since we were traveling during the day by rental car. The only thing we missed the access to the sea for those quick dip in the sea. The hotel was only over the main entrance to leave. To the sea you could only in the bath not so good we enjoyed the pay sauna area. (Five euro/45 minutes).... Read more

The comments from other guests is little to add. We had a junior suite on the fifth floor, what you would highly recommend; two bathrooms, living room and dining area were very spacious and with a great view of the complex. A rental car is recommended for the network despite the beauty of the island to explore, with good road network is possible. In the hotel there are several private festivities took place, one day the portofino bar was not usable. Very good hotel, with a large garden and several pools. The staff was friendly and helpful and spoke also German. Very well-kept area and plentiful, varied and tasty food in buffet form. Beach chairs were sufficiently available stayed in the pool area. A shuttle bus goes in the city center of Funchal free. Read more

In general, the hotel was in a 1-to be assessed. The garden is both the prosecution, as well as the condition, an eye again.
However, the breakfast was a bit 'unlovingly' prepared. More fruit would not be bad former. The staff was mostly closed. Stayed in the pool area and the umbrellas anymore in slightly worn condition when fully booked and there was not enough. Read more
