I always make a point of checking out Trip Advisor and hope anyone interested in visiting Egypt sees this. Hurghada is totally safe even though there has been some unrest in Egypt it has not affected the Red Sea resorts. I stayed at this hotel from 26 Feb until 12 March 2011 with 2 other female friends and we could not fault either the hotel or the service. We stayed at this Hotel for 2 weeks early September, like many others I had read the bad reviews but thought I would make my own opinion, we were met my Hussan and the friendly staff at reception, the hotel was clean and everyone seemed friendly, we had a small problem with our room and we were moved the next day with no fuss, you have to give the staff credit during Ramadam a lot are on holiday and a the remaining staff are working 17 hour days,! - in September 10

My partner and I did indeed enjoy our stay however our three main gripes with our stay here are as follows. - in September 09
we still enjoyed our stay we had an amazing time and would advise visiting luxor that was amazing also the marina is good as it is quieter than sakala if you do not like a lot of hassel do not visit sakala as it is manic some of the people were very rude we got locked in a perfume shop until we bought a perfume some of them are really pushy and not very nice i would advise not to go in a shop unless it is a big store or unless it was busy. - in September 09

The people at reception laughed at us when we phoned to ask for someone to clean the room and then when we wouldnt give up and insisted on changing rooms, they sent housekeeping to come and PRETEND to fumigate the room.

This property offers three large pools (One who is closed for renovation), a nice pool bar, two great restaurants and a lobby bar with friendly staff. - in September 10
The pool sellers were asked only to be around the pool twice a day instead of all day which was a relief – to be fair its only the health club that drive you mad, Mohammed & Adam the safari and snorkelling trips are great guys and we booked some amazing trips, I feel ill on this holiday and the Hotel Doctor seriously overcharged me there is a pharmacy out the back use that – we did get our money back from him, this just shows how much this hotel wants to be a 5 star and Patrick and his team are doing everything in the their power to get it back to a 5 star, we will certainly be back next year to see the changes and see all the friendly staff again thanks again for a lovely Holiday and ba humbug to all the miserable people that found the staff rude are you sure you were staying in the same hotel - in August 10

The hotel has two restaurants ones for the russians and polish and the other for the british and europeans, so your not involved with the russians much as they r very rude people, the staff in the restaurant were fantastic, if your going look out for mohammad and khalid in the british restaurant as they are amazing and would do anything for you, they love seeing smiley happy faces, the waiter staff were also superb as they brought us different cocktail drinks to try (non-alcoholic) and always made sure you had a drink and there was no dirty dishes on your table. - in July 10

Nightlife experienced outdoors was the Hard Rock cafe, on the promenade, but they charged you 22% in tax to drink whilst seated. - in May 10
Also excellent shopping/eating including Hard Rock cafe within a short walk (via a glass door at the back of the hotel and then turn left) Although near to the airport there was no air traffic noise. - in November 09
It is cheap to eat out and nice food that we found at XXX bar and grill, the Mafia Italian restaurant and Hard Rock Cafe (fine, but be prepared for them to add 25% on your bill for sevice and tax!

if you are english the waiters will usually give u glasses instead of plastic cups as they have said they dont like the russians as they are rude also there is a restaurant where mainly english eat it is nicer and quieter. - in July 10

Whilst we were there they did try to clean the pools and had to shut them down a good few time as were a health hazzard. - in July 10

The pools look lovely but need alot of attention Patrick the new manager of the hotel has shut one pool to be repaired but the others also need attention all in our group cut there feet on the many tiles that were missing . - in August 10

If it helps - the hotel, room and 4 pools were lovely, the beach is horrible, the resort is like a building site, and you have to run the gauntlet of every single shop owner trying to pull you into his shop every time you go out for a walk. - in September 09

the hotel itself is nice and the pools are lovely the cleaners and staff do work very hard and are friendly especially for how little they earn they cant do enough for you but a lot of areas were dirty and the pools werent cleaned enough or properly.
