The hotel is a good four stars hotel, which is very centrally located. The Nile is ten minutes walking distance, where ships are as a restaurant. Here is the 'Nile City' to be recommended. The best book in advance, as the ship, is very popular among the locals. Alcohol is not served there. The Tahir square with the behind the big shopping street and the National Museum are about 30 minutes in walking distance. The hotel has a cash machine and a bank. In the heart of cairo is the five star hotel pyramisa. We have met this hotel in the framework of our Egypt-January /. february 011 stay in. It is to a large, very pompöses hotel. The room are very spacious and tastefully decorated! The only drawback is the noise part, stemming from the street. Sleep with an open window is difficult. This is the hotel but also in the middle of the city and Egyptians are nocturnal. Up until three o'clock in the morning the cars out of the city. On the first view and for Egyptian standards or African a very pompöses and immaculate hotel, but you must just not too closely: the lights in the room were most wall and wobbly, the towel rack was bent, the sash Windows did not close completely, extreme traffic noise in the room it, and the shower was a trickle as a garden hose. It was missing a toilet brush, however, the TV had programmes as described in the other room and the air conditioning was very noisy (we have turned off at night, it's better)The staff is extremely accommodating and the service is great.
