The quarter deck Inn and Marina resort in port Hardy on the Northern end of Victoria Island will be exclusively by travellers booked, the early the next morning at the ferry to the inside passage to Prince Ruppert in British Columbia on the border of Alaska embarkation leave. The hotel is located right in front of the marina from the outside, looks really nice. However, it is old and poorly renovated. But the rooms were spacious, very clean. But only a bed 160cm). Dei most guests stay 1 night, so what would you expect. Really good but the nearest cafe directly at the hotel, there was one of the best and the cheapest breakfasts on our long Canada trip. Hotel room was very big, since March 2008 actually non-smoking rooms, but in the room has it extremely of stale smoke smell. Another room was unfortunately not available. We got similar statements of other guests. Hotel was mainly visited by the guests of the ferry (Prince Rupert - Port Hardy and vice versa, so-called Inside-passage) used. Please note: Thomas Cook sold the room with breakfast, although the breakfast since October 2008 no longer included. Staff at breakfast was totally swamped. Large room, furnished practically, fridge was missing, front desk curt, here credit card as key, that was it, foreign languages no, after a late arrival with the ferry by the Inside Passage (11.30 pm) you were glad the room and good night's sleep. The area is very nice, the location was great, excursions on your doorstep. From this perspective everything in order. The price seemed to me but a bit too high. Read more
