We went on a room only basis and were pleased with the value for money. The rooms are nicely furnished, and we had a large bathroom. Only the bed is too negative point, as it is way too soft, but that is in the majority of the hotels in Scotland so (my experience) The hotel is centrally located and evening in the pubs and during the day shopping in town. Location: Very centrally, therefore good possibility to shopping and venture out at night. However the Scottish people before it extensively and noisy party every night in and outside the pubs. So the noise level to four hours stop and to the sleep. Private parking -> free use service: there was never a problem for the reception. Fast and comfortable check-in and check-out. It must be very difficult for any one who lives near the hotel and the hotel cannot be blamed for this but it is surrounded by bars and the hidiously loud music goes on un til the early hours every night.

At the encore it is basic but the en suite facilities are better as you have a wet floor in the bathroom with ample space where as in the ramada jarvis the bathroom is tight and compact and very little room to move in shower - in January 11
