... on our second visit to Reethi . From the front desk to the ladies from Guest Relations, everyone was very welcoming and after the first 50 meters toward the room barefoot, we knew that we were finally back home! It was also amazing how quickly the staff reacts when a "repeat offender" is concerned (and there are many on the island, more than the average). What impressed us particularly was the cordiality with which the staff greeted us. During our stay, there was always an opportunity, to talk more about families and personal problems. The se... We had eleven fantastic days at the hotel Reethi Beach resort. Ideal for people who just want to relax. On the whole island you can walk around barefoot, even in the main restaurant, which we found very pleasant. Very friendly staff. Small drawback: every evening the whole island stunk of insecticide. This measure is intended to keep the mosquitos in check. This was our second time at Reethi Beach and it was wonderful. Just after landing we received a nice welcome from the Guest Care woman, Julia, who was always there at any time for her guests. There is already so many good things written about this place which makes it difficult to find appropriate words. It was a great 14 days, although the weather was not so great. The bungalow was spick and span and cleaned twice a day. Everywhere you went, you met very nice people who always polite and friendly. You can read the whole day, laze about on c... Read more

Absolute dream holiday in a fantastic atmosphere. The only drawback was that excursions were too expensive, therefore never reached minimum number of people talking part so it almost never took place. In the store on the island, prices were very high. I left my snorkeling equipment at home and bought a snorkel, goggles and fins- 190.00 dollars! But apart from that everything was great. Read more

A vacation that left nothing to be desired. We had a 14 wonderful days in a standard bungalow. The bungalow was clean and everything was in tact. The service was absolutely great. From the laundry to the repairs, everything was prompt. We would especially like to highlight the main restaurant, the food was absolutely great! Delicious, a large variety throughout the 14 days, very rarely 'repeated'. A strong praise also goes to the girls from the coconut spa- thank you for those relaxing hours. The island itself is a great barefoot island! The... Read more

Only slight downside is that they have closed the Maldivian Restaurant - would be great if they could add the old menu to one of the other restaurants, as the food was always excellent (but obviously not everyone agreed with us, which is why it closed). - in September 11
There was always plenty to choose from and if I was to be critical at all, the food could of sometimes been a little hotter, aside from that I though the food was excellent. - in August 11

-it was my own little private paradise : ) The food was excellent, I ate breakfast at the main restaurant, lots of choice and all of good quality, I also ate at the Reethi grill- v good, Saima gardens for my birthday was a bit of a disapointment-it was still very good but just did not blow me away. - in June 11

The buffet is OK-but we book breakfast only (were already three times on reethi), so that we in the restaurant food-great water location and really good food-clear cost something more, but for us is more than justified the price. - in December 10
Conclusion: there are places in the world with more magic than Maldives, but if you want a nice all-over with good service and good food, and if you just want to chill - then this is your place. - in November 11

We found the food in the main restaurant always good to very good and the desserts were scrummy ( I limited myself to one visit to the dessert area per day ) We were given a complementary meal in the Saima Gardens one evening since we were returning guests – although the food was lovely I found it a bit dark and missing some atmosphere but it was a lovely touch. - in October 11

Food and Drink We were supposed to upgrade to AI on arrival to save money (we were B&B) but in fact we stayed B&B and it cost about the same - we did NOT skip lunch - we had lunch at the Moodhu bar every day (lovely food and never busy) and dinner was a mixture of Moodhu Bar, Reethi Grill (simply excellent) and room service (very pricey). - in August 11
The food on the island is lovely - for example, they had a very nice wellington beef, salmon and the usual curry fare, sea food, etc.

We booked B & B but went all inclusive on arrival - it offered the best deal as drinks were very expensive and although we are not big drinkers, even a soft drink was US$4-5+service charge.
