Generally speaking the hotel is in good condition,maybe with some need of modernisation.The beach is so close and the pools are very nice and clean.The room was really big and was with sea view.The staff was really friendly and helpful,apart of the reseption staff who was really serious and ignorant, not helpful at all.The food was repetitive most of the time,but still lots of different choices.The evening entertaiment was the same every night the same Russian songs,apart of few good nights when we had nice Egyptian,Italian and English s... we stayed here for 8 night and had a fantastic time the staff made us feel like part of the family, great service and always friendly yes room could be painted but who spends all day in their room we had english films on t v food good ok not english roast but if thats what your after stay in england, views fantastic snacks and drinks very good we loved it so much we are already booked for october and we havent been home a week yet

We stayed for 9 days in this hotel. Our room was almost direct at the beach. Great view! Unfortunately the bathroom was a disaster. The bathtub was old and scratched, just unsightly. The food was very took some getting used to. The service was good. If you tips has, then the service was very good. The staff loves money on everything. You have to be good understanding of the English language already, otherwise you can't communicate. The' worst' they were many Russians. Of course not all! Both my wife and I kite surf and over the last 5 years have stayed at this hotel 2 &3 times a year why ? fall out of bed onto the beach go kitesurfing
We have seen the hotel develop it now has a water park for the kids
Food - not up to the European standard but you are in Egypt its getting better
The hotel has got awards for its food hygiene standards
Rooms - are spacious and clean with a fridge and tea / coffee making in the room
Staff - are friendly and helpful and not in your face

... hotels, in which we had already visited once and the Regency Plaza simply can't compete. for example there was also only in the restaurant Wine and not outside. at the buffet was for example a female guest, the Schafskäsecreme from the spoons licked off and back in the bowl put. Depending on where your room is would have a major influence on this review, as there is currently building work taking place to include a new water park and doubling the size of the hotel, but if you pay for the sea view as an extra you can guarantee to be away from the building work and the sea view is worth the extra anyway, otherwise the grounds are magnificent and the hotel is very, very good. - in August 10
