Hotel Rocca di Tropea

A nice, visible three star hotel with a nice laid out garden area and great View. typically Italian! There were almost exclusively german guests middle Age in the house. Large 2-Room- apartments, a bit spartan but functional with a large covered balcony. We had a great View of the sea, the pool Area and beautiful garden area. the rooms were very clean, we got at least every 3 days fresh bedding and all 2 days fresh towels. A hotel with three stars as just like we expected it. I have read that this hotel is often compared to a five stars hotel and the people were quite dissatisfied afterwards. The selection of food wasn't big but there was always something delicious, as the food was very tasty. In the morning, there were two types of bread (always fresh) one sort of bread rolls and croissants, there was a selection of jams, honey, one sort of cheese and one to two types of sausage, boiled eggs and scrambled eggs. The Rocca di Tropea seems a bit in need of renovation. Room was large and clean, etc., therefor very noisy. Is it really in order for those price. The food was not very varied, tasty therefor. Since we were there in the off-season with an unexpectedly warm summer weather all benefits without touristenrummel use, we would expect in the high season were rather worse conditions. Small, manageable complex. Rooms are sufficient large and clean. However old furniture. Rooms are noisy. Bathroom old, shower very small, one can hardly move. Too many audience middle age and families. International guests as English, French, Dutch. The apartment also for a 4- headed family reasonable. Big balcony. Large drying rack on the balcony, however without parentheses. Cleaning of the rooms is good. Staff at the bars and also in the restaurant ausge- Sprochen arrogant and unfriendly. the complex has 116 units consists of a main building and several dreistöckigen apartment houses. In the main building you will find the front desk and the restaurant. The restaurant has the charm a youth hostel. Also the furnishings the room seems already getting a bit old to be. The pool is although it is very nice above the sea has however no atmosphere.
