restaurant. Makassar, also known as Ujung Pandang, is the largest city on the island of Sulawesi and is famous for the Dutch built Fort Rotterdam, which houses an impressive museum of colonial times.
In the southeast part of the city there are several memorials of the once mighty Gowa empire.
