The village of Schwangau is located at the end of the "Romantic Road", a scenic drive that leads throughout the whole of Bavaria with many points of cultural interest along its way. The hotel is located just 3 km from the city of Fuessen and 5 km frmo the border to Austria. Within day-trip range you can find a variety of famous sights and places. These include Munich, Innsbruck (Austria), Oberammergau with its Passion Play, Garmisch Partnekirchen, Berchtesgaden, Lake Konstanz and Zurich (Switzerland).

We were satisfied all around, the hotel Ruebezahl is a small, but fine hotel! We stayed in the suite Sissi's dream, in which no wishes remain open.
The staff are very friendly and very concerned about the of the guests hard.
The kitchen is excellent, varied and creative.
The only thing what I as not really ideal felt, but relatively high prices for open wines. The glass wine 0. 2 liter costs from 7,00 euros upwards, which however back to the quality and the atmosphere of the house is.
