The hotel is being renovated and the ground floor is completely unavailable due to building work.

It is in the process of being restaurated, and had not yet been finished whilst we stayed (no table or chair in our room, no WiFi as promised, breakfast room had not been ready yet) but from what has been finished one could see the restauration is done very tasteful and not "cheap".
