Very well located hotel (see the descriptions of my before-reviews), but:
The good location with a very loud büsst one holding, allowing the little quiet at night. The windows are only single pane, the construction site next door very loud.
Our room (at least supposedly superior) had no closet, only a small, open wardrobe. Impossible. In the pub were sticky as well as at breakfast and also in the evening all tables. It is always a bit shabby, that was probably also because of the very young, inexperienced waiters. We will go there not more. Read more

I wanted to for a short-wedding towns-trip a hotel with nice ambience, central location and fine dining. ( And still relatively cheap) after some research on the web I had seen this recommendation from a British. Great location, 200 meters to Westminster Abbey, 150 meters to the metro, 500m to the Queen and a stop the hop on/off bus "Big Bus" is next to the front door. A beautiful, small, clean hotel for a city trip.
The double room was rather small, but sufficient. We had arranged a freshly reconditioned room, very pretty, typically English. Unfortunately the air conditioning system did not function optimally. In the room a dte digester with a selection of dte, coffee, was drinking chocolate. The bath was also again reconditioned, small, but in good taste furnished.
At the reception we were very nicely received.

We can only recommend the Sanctuary. An absolute dream, what the accessibility of the things to see. 400 meters to the Big Ben and Westminster Abbey, 100 meters from the subway, St. James's Park), hardly 10 minutes walk to the Backingham Palace, 5 minutes Trafalger, 5-10 minutes London Eye. The atmosphere in the hotel was English, with old furniture and totally smartly decorated.
