The best thing about the Scandic Grand Marina is its totally central location. The Ostarm South port there are only a few steps to the main square with its various stalls. Of diverse and boat trips can begin. Highly recommended is the one and a half hour tour to the eastern archipelago and the short trip with the ferry to the island of suomenlinna (20 minutes in summer all). I have spent a very pleasant time at the hotel. My room (single room economy) was on the sixth floor, was spacious enough, and clean. Only ten centimeter to open the only window would be to criticise. The restaurant was excellent (dinner a la carte and buffet). Read more

The rooms are simply furnished and very small. The air conditioning or the ventilation can not be controlled individually and it made blows constantly cold. The bathroom is tiny, and was already quite run down. Check in was fast, but rude and impersonal. The breakfast buffet is included in the price and except for the undrinkable coffee really appealing. The window was very small, but still easy! It was hot outside (34°C), in the room but pleasant! The staff was very friendly and helpful! All spoke fluent in English! The hotel is in a great central but nevertheless quiet! Breakfast was great! At peak times (8 -9am) very busy, but the hotel can do nothing. They even more rooms available!
