Scandic Brussels city is very centrally located, a few minutes walk to the Grand Place, 'and' Brussels central train station. The rooms are in several floors (2 elevators available) around an open interior location. My room had a window to the court yard, however therefore very quiet. Size: only 20 square meter including the bathroom, described as a double, as a double room it seemed a bit small. As for business trip as single use, it was big enough. The free wifi is not dependable, keeps disappearing, not sufficient to use skype; at least the rooms that have windows opening into the atrium (although I suspect the same for the street side - it is a narrow and dark street) are extremely dark even in daytime - in conjunction with the abysmal wifi, it does disturb a guest who wants to work in the room as well, not only sleep in it :) - in April 11

Generally very good (highly recommendable) hotel with impecable cleanliness and service (excellent hot buffet breakfast, coffee and tea making facilities). However, last time I encountered some negligent and careless cleaning staff not really performing their work 100% (missing towels, tea etc.). Hotel was full while only one of two lifts worked which caused some bottlenecks.
