Hotel Schaferhof

the hotel lies in the district of rod, a few minutes' drive from ratschings kommunistische sterzing. Many parking spaces on the house. The room was easy equipped with small TV(too many German speaking programs). Everything was clean. ... well coordinated and there is hardly any waiting times. The Schaferhof has a great park with old trees. If You peace searches, can relax here. In the summer there was the possibility, in a pool to cool down. The ski bus stops on your doorstep and the guests without the parking to winter sports regions Deliberate or Ross' head. in the winter there was of the sauna daily usable. ... Miles of hiking trails, cross-country ski in the winter as used. Some walking minutes away from the hotel starts the Gilfenklamm -well worth a visit. The city sterzing with paving stones, the historical façades is only four kilometer away. There is also a gondola to the Roßkopf. The numerous pastures (Vallmingalm, Ochsenalm, Kuhalm, Freundalm...) there are walks with stunning views. All sights, Hiking trails and to explore the possibilities for excursions will still take several years. We'll certainly more often the ridnauntal to Schaferhof. Read more

The food was very good, excellent for gourmets. A Bit more down to earth Kitchen in between and, above all, children's menus are available would be a good thing. The ski area is great. Excellent well-kept slopes, no waiting time at the lifts. Read more

Excursions to nearby skiing and hiking areas, after Bozen and Meran are on offer. We come now already for many years gladly again anytime in the Schaferhof -even though we wanted-we see different ski areas.
