I was within six weeks twice in this hotel, once in the right, once the left neighboring house. I had the hotel because of its good location to Hamburg-Altona and due to its good traffic-technical connection selected. At first glance the hotel makes Ensemble a reasonably good impression. But with the more exact look at it looks run down.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and each time completely different room. This time I had a room in a small house in the back part of the property. Although the hotel right next to the s Bahn line is, my room was very quiet (window to the garden). However, it was very small. My friend stayed in another room for the same price, the three times as big. Bathroom extremely small and a bathtub. No spray-suppression, so that after showering the whole bathroom under water.

The hotel looks nice from the outside, but once inside, you see, that nothing has been invested there for decades. Old dirty carpet, narrow corridors and behind a small window the front desk.
The staff was very nice, our reservation over hrs. Was not before, but there were still rooms available. The room had a smell, as if smoking is allowed to smoke everywhere and it depends on curtains, carpets and wallpapers, the sink in the bathroom was not cleaned properly, leftovers from toothpaste hanging on the edge, the heated towel rack was totally... The room was big enough and came with a tv, telephone and mini bar. Only the room cleaning could be a bit more thoroughly.
The bathroom was renovated and fully equipped with modern amenities (hairdryer and lighted make-up mirror available).
The typical Hanseatic style with wood and stucco is evident throughout the hotel, but is partly a bit worn.
The breakfast was small but nice and very neat.
Behind the house there is a free parking for guests.
The transportation to and from the train is ideal. It is in the jerk center.
