We upgraded prior to leaving Australia to an Ocean family room next door to the Takeli Restaurant which was great for the kids as it was lower ground with a beautiful outlook for kicking the soccer ball and climbing trees whilst getting ready for dinner. - in September 09

We went on the Magical tour to the School and village with Mun, which was a cultural experience, that included a kava ceremony and was very interesting. - in May 10

Muns Magical Tour is a must (Mun has a great sense of humour and kept us laughing the whole time) - something to suit everyone - shopping in Sigatoka, visiting a local furniture store, visit to a local village then lunch on the beach, horse riding (which was $15fijian) and endless champagne, beer and softdrink - very amusing fun day especially with a group of friends. - in April 10
The magical tour is brilliant, but for our family (8yr, 6yr & 5yr) the best trips was the School Tour run by the Kids club. - in March 10
If you are going to do one thing in Fiji it has to be Mun's magical tour exclusive for Shangri La only. - in March 10
At the resort we were able to go Deep Sea/Game Fishing, canoeing, swimming, snorkeling, Banana Boat riding, we went to the Fire Dancng Show (not to be missed) and went on Mun's Magical Tour which allowed you to visit a village, drink more Karba, swim, take in some of the local sights and shopping, participate in a beer skulling comp for men and of course champange skulling for the ladies and a horse ride if you want to.

The prices of the restaurants are high, the food is not of great quality and the service disgraceful (Beach Bar & Grill ) except for the Takali (thai) restaurant which was superb.

Well after a 5 year hiatus from the Shangri La Fijian Resort, we decided to go back again and chance it, our last trip there 5 years ago was to say the least very disappointing, the staff were not happy, the service was poor, the food was below average, basically we had decided then and there we wouldn't go back, BUT we happened to come across a great deal and thought we would give it another shot, well we were extremely happy we did! - in March 10
Overpriced, poor service, too many people, too old, rooms poorly equipped, buildings are an eye sore and plenty of "Kath and Kim" Aussies running around. - in March 10
