The hotel Shanker is a former palace, what you based on the establishment and so on also notice. In Principle the hotel is oK, is in my opinion however not a four-star hotel ( pub category). The standard rooms are kept rather small, the bathroom is rather tiny. Also the breakfast buffet leaves rather more to be desired, also tasted. Advantage is however, that you are in around 20 minutes away on foot in thamel is, where you enough pub and so on finds, so you don't on the hotel dependent.
