It was the first visit to Egypt for my wife and me and we are so exited about it that we want to share our satisfaction. When we arrived at the hotel our room was immediately available, luggage handled well by the friendly porters. Perfect treatment in every restaurant including bar service and drinks. On the beach same excellent attention of the staff. Room at day of departure available until the very last minute, accounting and check out perfect. The Siva Grand Beach was one of the oldest hotels of the Red Sea hotel chain- but it's nontheless recommendable. The area with about 520 rooms was very well-kept. The all inclusive offer was very large. 80% of the guests were German in the hotel, the remaing guests were from Austria and Switzerland. There were only a few Russian and French guests. There wasn't much to complain about the hotel area. The outdoor areas were well-kept and also the beach/ocean area, which reached into the ocean because of the tongue of land, was a "visual highlight". I have to say that I had been in Egypt twice before (Abu Dhabi and Hurghada) and so I already had "pre-experiences" and as we only had time for one week, we wanted to go on a relaxing and recreative holiday. Went to the Siva 3 years ago, it was good then. Now, its absolutely fantastic! British holidaymakers have been unable to go here recently as a certain travel company diddnt pay their bills (ive tried for this long to get back but couldnt). When we returned a lot of the staff remembered us and we were treated like royalty! The hotel is predominately German at present (German owned chain) but this, we feel will change. This was our 9th time at the siva grand beach hotel. We love the hotel. Since our last stay in April 2008 there have been a number of changes which have improved the hotel. The atmosphere is a lot more relaxed and friendly. The staff all seem to love working there now. The changes tio the beach are also good. The nets in the sea have improved the cleanliness of the beach. We would definately recommend the new fish restaurant. We had a lovely romantic evening there and the food was excellent.
