... first two weeks in December 2011, and ended up in the Siva grand beach was great. It is recommended: great location, clean, great service, all Subdienstleister such as kite surfing school in the area (outdoor beach or park) are totally reliable. The food is great everything was prepared fresh without, etc. also Knorr' for families with children very recommendable. The quality of the EIT is well organized. After three years of suspension, and other hotels in Hurghada we find the great, great, and there is a beach right in front of the room, our room boy was a very tidy the room always very clean. me an my partner have just had a really good week at the siva grand, its a nice hotel and the rooms are ok, we did ask for a double bed but had two sigles pushed together which was a bit of a pain.

The hotel itself was superb, all the staff friendly, polite and very helpful, couldnt do enough for us, room very clean and large with a huge bed, lovely bathroom and loads of room.

The Bad, pool very very cold that it takes your breath away, people smoke in the pool and flick their ash in there, food is rubbish, cocktails are rubbish, speciality restaurants (Sea View and Oasis) not included in all-inclusive, no coffee maker in room, mini bar not included, same food every day.

If you want good service from bar, restaurant or your room cleaner you will have to tip everyone all the time, they will stand and look at you until you do, then suprisingly they are nice to you. - in December 09

On the subject of food & drink, tip a waiter (10 Egyptian pounds is ok) & he will bring your drinks regularly to you either on the beach or around the pool, for as long as you want them (Aziz at the pool bar is brilliant) & definately go to the Sea Star restaurant, this is at the end of the beach & is on a small jetty into the Red sea,the drinks are part of the all inc package & as you sit there with a beer you can look down into the sea & see the most wonderful fish swimming around, Hakeim the waiter will look after you very well.

The pool does snacks and drinks which you help yourself to,in fact you can help youself to beer/spirits and pop all day if you wanted,the beach was clean and is one of the best beaches in hurghada that also did drinks in the beach bar.

Having said all that the hotel pools and beach are great although the Germans are still up to their old tricks and you have to be up early to get a decent spec, the front row at the beach was full at at 5-45am I promise you not.

The weather is perfect in eygpt, and i made the most of it at the pool or on the beach, the hotels sandy long beach is beautiful and the pool area was lovely too, i think this may have been the cleanest hotel i have ever stayed in, the food in the day time was better than in the evenings becuase there was more varitey.

The resort is very safe for young children as the hotels private beach has a sandy beach which you could walk in the sea for several hundred yards before reaching deep water without currents.

Some of the staff around the pool were very nice and helpfull and looked after us very well, some are far too pushy and expect tips, they hover and come every 5 mins asking if you want drinks, great for the first day but after two weeks of you just crave to be left alone, aziz who works in the terrace bar if a credit to the hotel, fanatastic worker who is always there to help.

There are some well kept gardens between the pool and private beach the hotel has which has some nice private area's with loungers so you can relax and take in the surroundings.
