We were here as a couple in August 2010 for a week in Skalny in Zakopane. I would go back anytime. The hotel is attractively decorated, had a pleasant atmosphere and the service was unique. It was very relaxing. The hotel is a bit away from the bustle of the city center, but with bus stop nearby, taxi is for a cheap price to or if you are driving your own car there (closed car park on the house). We loved the hotel "Skalny". A car is provided but highly recommended. German guests were rather rare.
The hotel has 37 rooms on 3 floors. Our room was clean and tidy. It had a small balcony with beautiful view of the Tatra Mountains. It was a construction site across. Here it in the morning from 7. 30h los. It didn't bother us much. There was a TV was available, but only with Polish programs (a shame, I would have time in the teletext read the newest. . . ) The beds had a width of "only" 80 cm.

Highly recommended, value for money excellent!! The bathroom and the room super clean. In the price including swimming pool, jacuzzi. Room with a balcony with a view of the mountains - fantastic. Very good location, because for all tours very good base. Breakfast buffet very balanced and varied, large choices. In bad weather gym, squash, billiards. In the winter we will be back!!!! Read more
