A very nice and very well located Hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful, but you have to ask twice sometimes. The lobby is beautiful, the same applies to the outdoor area. Shopping possibilities in the immediate vicinity. The cleanliness of the restaurant was found extremely poorly sound-proofed rooms. Read more

An architecturally beautiful hotel, but the bad management very loses. Dirty napkins, miserable kitchen with excessive prices. Inflexible, partly arrogant service. Just returned on Sylvestzer not recommendable at all, the hotel management seemed completely overstrained and the 'mega party' was nothing more. Even guests didn't even a table for dinner, or even a supplement is payable locally. Pathetic! Read more

I personally would not recommend this hotel. Also Agadir is not really nice. Was a bit chilly. Beach promenade where the restaurants are, is lit up at night with floodlights (as in a football stadium)... very romantic!HCLFHLTo The Hotel:HCLFHLStaff friendly, but very unprofessional, disorganized.HCLFHLThe food, specially for lunch is a disaster! Very small selection.HCLFHLRoom and hallway rather dark and dingy.HCLFHLPool: power in the pool, wooden jetty, which over the pool runs, to the green and legs with plants bear in mind... in a pool?! ... It was a successful stay in this hotel in Agadir Sofitel. Hotel is a bit out of the way, but that was anyway right, since we don't like and really wanted to be in the major hustle and bustle for a week relaxation.HCLFHLA very posh 'beach' hotel, but still a ungezwingene atmosphere.HCLFHLPerfect and varied gastronomic offer--especially the breakfast buffet!HCLFHL Read more

Hotel in general

Softel Agadir is a beautiful hotel and could be 5 star if it was properly managed, the staff went on customer service training and the restaurant adhered to some sort of food hygiene guidelines, possibly serving the same food as Marrakech. - in October 09
Would I recommend? Yes, but only because of the beauty of the hotel.

Considering this is suppose to be the best hotel in town, it leaves a lot to be desired. - in September 10
Overall, the best of the hotel are its gardens and pool. - in September 10

- best hotel in Agadir

- in October 09
Bottom line is it looks like Sofitel has purchased a fantastic hotel off of somebody else and then simply has failed to follow through after jumping off of the solid bones provided. - in September 09
I have just got back from a weeks break in Morocco and stayed at the Sofitel in Agadir, it was a fantastic hotel.

The top layer of the hotel is good like a wedding cake, pretty, its pleasing to the eye and looks fresh and clean.

In conclusion - a lovely hotel for a relaxing break but too expensive and too far away from the town. - in March 10
Hope this has been helpful and enjoy your stay at this lovely hotel

- expensive in hotel

Our only critisism would be the high prices of food and drink so go b&b only and spend the rest of the money on an upgrade to a delux sea view with balcony room, it's well worth the money. - in September 10
I also had the impression that the hotel was offering package deals at very low prices while at the same time charging others its high prices, and this in the long run does not help.

Our room had an odd design, with a silly window seat that didn't at all fit an ocean property. - in October 09
The hallways are also an odd design.

Good points, are boring, but here they are: - Amazing beds - Extremely attentive maids (make sure you tip them) - Clean rooms (bit eerie though) - Great outside space - Some extremely hot chicks walking around - Lovely tranquil surroundings - Club was great, good live music and DJs (but overpriced drinks again, £6 for coke) - Make sure you hit Atlantic Casino - Always ask for a free shuttle, many restaurants/casinos etc have them I desperately tried to like this hotel, but there were so many minor problems that when glooped (I know it’s not a real word) together, left me with that feeling of making a lovely hot tea, warm in your hands, mouth wet with anticipation and then realising the milk was out of date on the first sip.

Hotel very clean, and the staff are polite and mean well although do not always deliver in the service department, This is only a general comment and I suspect can be said of all the hotels within Morroco.

I can't believe these two hotels are part of the same group, Marrakech is beautiful, stylish, 100% 5 star luxury, the food is excellent and definitely a la carte, customer care is fantastic.

always at your service (even without tips) - some very nice pastries and fruits free of charge delivered from time to time to your room - free water bottles every day through the evening house cleaning service - good food (we only had the midday buffet or lunched at the beach restaurant) - the choice was quite large with a lot of diverse possibilities from snack to 3-course meal. - in August 10
I have no idea why as we then stayed at the Sofitel in Marrakesh which has a great restaurant serving good food for a correct price.

There are litttle gaps in cleanliness; the pool is not cleaned everyday, but every three days or so and there is the odd tile here and there that needs replacing , that easily goes unnoticed when you relax into the wonderful atmosphere that is Sofitel.
